This is a lush version of the Suessdorf/Blackburn classic, which I originally arranged for one of my NYV summer camp groups a few years ago. I always loved this song because of it’s simplicity but also quirky structure. The A sections are six bars in length, and there is no particular rhyme scheme. Yet, the tune feels very natural and smooth. This arrangement includes a nice duet in the vocalese style, as well as some rich five-part writing towards the back end of the chart. Big thanks to Gold Company for the lovely recording!
