THE ROYAL BOPSTERS
Released in 2014 (Motema), this CD features a quartet made up of Amy London, Holli Ross and Dylan Pramuk and myself, along with vocal jazz luminaries Mark Murphy, Sheila Jordan, Jon Henricks, Annie Ross and Bob Dorough. This project grew out of Amy London’s longtime friendship with Mark Murphy, and a desire to get him back into the studio during his last years. After collaborating with Mark, we expanded the project by including the other jazz greats mentioned, and rounded it out with a few features for ourselves. This CD received much critical acclaim, and was a career highlight for the four “bopsters” quartet.
