VISIONS WITHIN (FORMERLY ANCIENT TOWER)
Robert Lepley approached NYV way back in the early ‘90’s to see if they would be interested in recording an a cappella project made up of his original compositions. These pieces are contemporary settings of Rainer Maria Rilke poetry, translated to English by Robert Bly. With the addition of readings by Meryl Streep, this project is one of NYV’s most unique recordings, and is filled with lush harmonies and haunting melodies – a recording unlike any other NYV CD..
